I have very broad shoulders, long arms, and a narrow waist. This makes it hard to find coats that fit.That being said,this coat has plenty of room in the shoulder to move without feeling constricted. It fits well in the waist and the sleeves were long enough for my long arms.Well made coat. Would recommend it to a friend.

Very high quality, and quite versitile. Can easily be paired with jeans, or look just as compatible with dress pants.That being said: I must comment on the sizing. My husband is 220 lbs and 5'7" with a substantial belly! The coat is cut for a 'normal' size man. I ordered the XL, and it's fit he is happy with the purchase and he will get lots of use out of it.

Love this coat! As a skinny guy with long arms, it is always a challenge to find coats that have a long enough torso and long enough arms without looking like a marshmallow. The only complaint - which to me is not enough to reduce any stars - is that the pockets feel like they have an odd placement... but that is not bad I would recommend it.

The bottom of the coat goes down exactly to my waist. I would have preferred it a little longer. Other than that it's a nice coat and fits perfectly. The sleeves do seem long when you put your arms down but when you bend your arms or reach the sleeves don't go half way up your arm which I hate, so the sleeves for me are just fine.I ordered the grey because the black wasn't available. I would have prefered the black but reading the reviews the majority of jackests sent back were black so I think i made a good choice. I'm 6'2" 260 lb muscular. I bought a size XL and it fits great.

Nice looking coat, perfect fit. Men's T-Shirt large is loosely comfortable on me and what i usually prefer, but based on a previous review here ordered this coat in medium. Glad I did it is a perfect fit at the shoulders and back, hides my gut, and sleeves on my long arms just past the wrists which is what I wanted when wearing gloves in below freezing visits. That is local area weather and not *family* temp. ;)

It's a great wool coat that is relatively stylish and warm. Like many others have pointed out, the sleeves are just a *touch* too long. I have rather long arms to begin with so that's something I've never had to say before in regards to coat shirts, sweaters, etc., but this coat's sleeves could stand to be shortened by about an inch and probably be more realistic for most folks.

I really like this coat overall however, the sleeves were crazy long on the X-Large. They fell almost halfway down his fingers. We had to have them hemmed before he could wear it but other than that it fit very well and he likes that it is warm and still looks professional over his shirt and tie.Note on purchase size: My boyfriend is 5'9" and 250lbs. The X-Large fit very well around his shoulders/chest. The body length was good....just needed the sleeves shorter.

I bought this for my husband. The sleeves are extremely long. I had to hem his up. It does fit him a little small in the upper arm but he does have wide shoulders and larger upper arms. He says for average wear it is ok but if he had to do alot of reaching he would not wear this coat. It is a very warm coat of medium weight in a charcoal grey.

I love the way it looks. It has very clean lines, nice construction and great fabric; however, it doesn't fit me well. I see (now) that there were measurements near the bottom of the page that described the sizing . I am 6'3 180lbs and the shoulders are perfect and even the sleeves are ok, but it is just a about two inches too short in the center back and it seems on the wide side around the waist and chest. If you a guy on the average or shorter side, I think this jacket would be an amazing purchase. It's $44 for pete's sake!

I liked the XL fit. I am 5'8" and 220. I had the sleeves altered to fit, as it comes long. Despite the sleeves, I can wear a sweater underneath the jacket; and it does not look bulky. I prefer to just wear it without a sweater. The fit is snug but roomy. I purchased this in early December. I have been out when it was 49 degrees F. I felt warm. Haven't tested any colder than that. It comes fully lined, so I am guessing it may be wind resistant. Overall, I am impressed with Alpine Swiss, great coat, nice price.

I ordered this on a lightning special, took a chance and was not disappointed. I live in Texas and its now gotten cold. So i threw on my jacket when the cold front blew in and wore this into work. This jacket is very warm and has no problem handling a windy cold day. I am 6 ft and athletic build weighing about 175 and this coat (medium size) fits great. The sleeves are great length and I saw some reviews saying they may be too long but the length is perfect. I really like this jacket. I purchased it in early winter for a more professional looking, but usable for general use jacket. The overall quality is nice, it is very comfortable to wear, and has proven itself in colder and wet weather. It has plenty of pocket space, which allows me to stash random papers, keys, etc. The zipper is a nice feature as opposed to the traditional buttons in pea coats.The collar is nice, although it tends to have a mind of its own. It is a pea coat, so it will pick up random bits of lint, etc. So you may need to dry clean it every now and then or use a lint roller. I wouldn't use it for terribly cold weather, but for general use during the winter, it is fantastic. Great purchase!

I really like this jacket. This is the second year I've worn it daily, as my go-to commute/dog walk/etc. coat. It is not a warm jacket, just a simple, thin layer of wool. (it rarely gets under 50F here) The sleeves are comically long but roll up nicely, which I imagine is intended, and feels comfy. No 'extra' stuff; no visible branding, no extra pockets, no hood, no shoulder pads, no lining, or elastic tug cords. Just a simple, unpretentious cloth coat.I'm told it fits me well, 6'2" 230lb, and i 'like to believe' it looks stylish.

This jacket MUST have been meant to be a "Big & Tall" item. Think of it that way.It fits me very well and it's a great value BUT.... it's for tall and thin people.I got the SMALL and it is pretty much perfect on me, BUT...I am 6'-1" and weigh 175 lbs. and have a 32-inch waist.And YES, the sleeves are still a touch on the long side, but clearly that's part of the STYLE of this jacket.It goes perfectly over a shirt and tie, or other long sleeve shirts. 'maybe' over a sweater too, but not a big heavy one.IF, and I'd say ONLY IF you are a tall and thin person, then this jacket is a real bargain. I got one in each color it's such a great deal.Mine arrived a little wrinkled, so I did the old trick of laying a white towel over it before ironing and it came out really great looking.IF it fits you correctly, it's a pretty classy looking light jacket.UPDATE:There seem to be two or three "slightly" different builds of this jacket that are getting sent out depending on which warehouse you're near.I mean this jacket was manufactured two or three "slightly" different ways.My Black one is a little bit thinner than my Gray one is, it only has one inside pocket, and the zipper handle is on the normal USA men's side.My Gray one is a little bit thicker and has three inside pockets, and the zipper handle is on the opposite side.Some reviewers here have other variations on number of inside pockets and zipper handle side.Still a great jacket for the price.I actually prefer the two slightly different thicknesses as it gives me some choice of warmth depending on conditions.

This was bought as a gift for my hard to fit husband. He is the tall and skinny type, NOT the big and tall (why do retailers insist that if you are tall you must also be big), anyway I had to hold onto it until Christmas with the hope that it would be a good fit.At 6'3" and skinny, the L size fit him perfectly.
